Request for Multi-Size Build Plate View in Bambu Studio

Hello Community,

I’d like to propose a feature for Bambu Studio that could significantly benefit power users and designers. The idea is to have a view within Bambu Studio that displays all the possible build plate sizes and exclusions from the A1 Mini, A1, and P1/X1. This would help designers ensure their objects are optimized and printable for the greatest number of users.

Currently, most designers don’t have all three build plates to test on, so they often publish for just one. I only realized the issue when I got the A1 and saw that the print profile showed only “A1” on the MakerWorld page. To change this, I had to update the build plate to the X1 or A1 Mini and reupload the 3MF file.

My proposal would simplify this process by showing all three build plates at once, possibly in different colors. This would allow designers to run the slicer on all three or four plates at once, ensuring their designs are usable by the most users.

Is there a better way to go about this? What do other designers think about this request? Would this be too complex for most users?

I requested this feature when the A1 mini came out.

Bambu Studio: Show A1 mini plate even when other printers are selected

I think it will be helpful to show the A1 mini’s plate and exclusion area even when other printers are selected. For example, when I load model parts onto the plate of an X1C, I can try to fit the parts into the A1 mini plate plate area if it’s possible, so that the print profile can be used as is by an A1 mini printer as well. The A1 area can be shown by using a different color and/or dashed lines, and labeled as A1 mini plate area.

There was another similar request on this forum since.

In the meantime, remember that an A1 mini plate arrangement fits all other plates, and P/X plates fit A plate.
