Resin print photos are acceptable now on MakerWorld?

I’ve seen multiple models that are obviously resin SLA prints, but with 3MF profiles with erroneous photos. @MakerWorld put me through 3 weeks of work to photograph every single print profile for my models or else they’d all get taken down, and gave my partner a -3,000+ point violation negative punishment because they accidentally didn’t match the license type on a fully credited remix. So why do some people get a pass? Are resin prints now passable?

Remember: Anyone can upload. Uploads are not verified. Models are only taken down if they are reported. Just because you see something doesn’t mean it’s allowed. Someone just has to actively report it.

Secondly, before points can be converted into a gift card, the profile is checked. This often marks the end for such profiles. Many people forget this: they think they are collecting lots of points, but when it comes to verification, it’s all over.

So be careful with the statement: ‘Get a pass’. It only looks that way because you think these users are collecting points, but that doesn’t mean they can convert them later or that they won’t be taken down again. It’s just a little delayed.

It’s like driving too fast: Sometimes you get a fine, sometimes you don’t, but at some point everyone gets caught.

You’ve stumbled upon a very interesting case here. This is his 20th account… not exaggerating, 20th account. Bambu will let him upload for a few days then ban the account. He’ll create a new account and start over. He makes his money from Ko-fi donations.
