I think that the buttons for camera resolution are wrong labelled. 720p has better resolutiuon than 1080p ???
I think that the both buttons are xchanged.
Any idea?
I’ll be darned… checked it out on the Handy app and 720 looks sharper than 1024. Hmm
Yes, i made the same experience in Bambu Studio. If i select 720, Pictures iare efinitively sharper than 1024. I think the Buttons are xchanged too…
So it appears the buttons are swapped in the Handy app, but not in the OrcaSlicer interface. Regardless, an interesting find. There was a 50/50 chance of getting it backwards… lol!
Hmm, I thought it was a bitrate issue initially. But perhaps you’re right and the resolutions are actually swapped. But even true 720p should be clearer than it is for me with the Bambu app, I watch plenty of Twitch streams at lower resolutions (720 or 480) due to Comcast data caps and they’re considerably more clear than the Bambu stream. When I have the Bambu app set to 1080p the clarity is really bad. I wonder if it’s going through the internet and dropping bitrate down too much rather than going through LAN.
This is because the camera can only 720p. 1080p is only upscaled and not native 1080p.
I was stoked when I was at work and checked on a print in progress using the app to find that I could pinch and zoom on the print whenever I want a closer look
I almost hit the stop button because of a shadow lol
Upscaling doens’nt make any sense.
Why make two resolutions if they are not available and 1050p is worse than 720p???
Where did you read that the camera on the X1C is upscaled?
I asked bambu lab customer services and they said:
“After we confirmed with the product team, the camera used in the X1C is the native 1080p. therefore, the X1C camera will have better shooting quality than the P1S.”
It’s not upscaled, bambu lab confirmed that the X1Cs camera is native 1080p.
