RESOLVED: Model Request: Logitech Stream Cam Eagle Eye Mount

G’day. I cannot find the category and SUB category for a “request” section. so, i’m just going to make it here. Forum Mods, please kick my butt and correct me.

G’day. So, i have a Logitech Streamcam and i have an A1 ((forgot that detail initially)), and i’m looking at getting a top down, Eagle Eyed view of my prints. be that from the very top of the gantry, or, from the top down view of the Extruder.

EDIT: Looking for a model that does NOT incorporate the mount, please.

This would help me immensely.

Please and thank you?

Please see Dimensions from product page.

There is a reason why there isn’t a category such as this.

It isn’t that sort of forum, requests are not something that are placed here.

Anything not on-topic should be in the “off-topic” category.

I assume Logitech have more than one model, a product url to the correct model on the Logitech site would be a minimum requirement.

I doubt you are going to find much in the way of assistance simply because requests are nit part of this forum as I already mentioned.

No worries. Thank you for your time.

This is considered a commission for many modelers. You should think of reaching out to some and see if they would do it for you.

You mean a camera mounted to the extruder and travels with it? If that interpretation is correct, not recommended. The reason is they try hard to minimize weight/mass on the moving parts for fastest acceleration and deceleration. It’s why the X1C has the “C”. Adding weight will blow the tuning and could cause other problems like overheating motors. You can control speed though and slowing things way down would cut stresses on motors and detuning the motor control loops but would significantly lengthen prints.

An overhead stationary camera is fine though. I’d say start learning how to use the tools and then ask for help if you need it. That’s totally appropriate.

Thank you. i will do so now. I do appreciate it.

bit crass. but i get your point. Thank you for the info. I’ll take that into consideration from this point onwards.

I meant no offense with anything I said. I was only saying if it’s not ok to ask others to design stuff that it was totally fair for you to try and then ask for help.

This forum helps lots of people come up to speed on creating their own designs. Read through the posts and you’ll find advice on software and how to do various tasks.

I was trying to be helpful - not insult - and I’m sorry you took it that way.

Oh no, dont get me wrong. i didnt think it was insulting. i get your point. dont worry. i’m not harboring anything negative towards you

Hey there. i get your point on the first two sentences. So i will be learning from that from this point on.

Yes, logitech does have more than one model. Which is why i specifically mentioned the model: The Logitech “Streamcam”, and, gave the dimensions for it.
