In the BambuLab store, regular and high temperature reusable spools are the same price. Is there any reason to not get high temperature spools for every filament?
For example, is there any reason that a high temperature spool should not be used for PLA?
No reason not to use the high temperature spool. But for $11 more you can get a reusable spool already loaded with filament instead.
Yep, I had started getting refills without spools a while back. However, I do not do large print runs so I rarely empty a spool and instead change colors regularly. As a result, I have a number of refills but am very low on reusable spools.
I think that refills are probably more appropriate for people that regularly use up the entire spool.
I know that I can print spools but that takes time and uses up filament. My lesson learned is that I should most always order new filament with the spool.
Alternatively there are a lot of printable spool options on Makerworld. Some with additional features over the Bambu spools. This is the one I use.
