Ringing on P1S

I have just installed the Anti-Vibration Feet on the P1S. However, even after running the built-in calibration, ringing still persists on the All-In-One test I use (All In One 3D Printer test by majda107 - Thingiverse) and the 3DBenchy. Is there a way to fix this ringing? (I use OrcaSlicer to slice and print.)

Have you retensioned the belts yet?

In the wiki, the video just shows the person moving the toolhead around and then retightening the screws. Does this mean that you don’t have to tension it manually, just move the toolhead around and tighten the screws? I ask this because usually, you have to manually move the tensioning block a bit further.

It has a spring loaded mechanism so it self tightens to the correct tension. When you loosen the screws the spring tensions it. You move the axis just to help it along. :slightly_smiling_face:

Oh, thanks! I’ll try the procedure on the wiki, and check if the ringing has improved.

Anti-Vibration feet don’t really reduce artifacts in printing. They just quiet the printer a bit.

The video shows moving the toolhead in the y direction over a portion of its travel a couple of times. This does move both belts and should help the tensioners overcome static friction.

I feel my results are a bit better if I move the toolhead over its full range of motion several times, left to right, front to back, and diagonally, before tightening the screws. Certainly cannot hurt.
