Rotating camera in Bambu Studio around selected object

Hello everybody!
Is there any way to rotate camera around selected object on plate in Bambu Studio?
I have a couple different elements on my plate and I’d like to check them one by one in closeup but it’s hard to navigate when view/camera is rotating around center of plate or sometimes around nothing.

Wondering the same. The rotation of the camera is awful to be able to inspect objects when there are multiple pieces in a build plate. There’s no way to just rotate around the object, as far as I know.

Not sure why this doesn’t have more likes, and rotate with middle mouse button too, that would make it work great!

The single existing camera is fixed in position. You rotate its location. Even if the lens could move, it can’t capture all of the printed model.

You would require multiple cameras in order to get at all the sides of the printed model.

It may be possible with two cameras and each having fisheye lenses. Then you require software to match that in real time. Ideally it would require more.

This would require a separate processing board to handle the extra cameras and likely a separate WiFi connection to send the footage and receive the movement requests.

This would be two boards on the A & P series and a third on the X series.

The primary purpose of the camera is to capture Timelapse videos. Live view isn’t close to a live view.

I think the idea relates to the Prepare/Preview modes, rotating the viewpoint around an object rather than the center of the plate. Would require some way of designating the desired pivot point, I think.

Only after you saying that, and re-reading the OP did I realise, I clearly misread that.

Not only does that make more sense I am grateful you pointed it out.

He’s asking about the preview, not the print monitoring camera.

In prusaslicer this is the ‘z’ key. Doesn’t seem to work in my version of BS, try it in yours, I don’t have a current version loaded on this laptop. If it doesn’t work let me know.

Someone thought my wish for a user here to stop trolling was worth flagging as inappropriate.

Since when did Stop bullying others become something awful?

Stop trolling.

Already pointed it out.

Already acknowledged.

Asked and answered. Don’t know why that would have been flagged.

What do I know?

What is your malfunction today? I was pointing out that you misunderstood the OP’s question and now I’m trolling you?

I figured it out I think, hold right click and it allows you to move the camera. Hope this helps

Left click rotates the plate around it;s centre, hold CTRL key the Left click rotates around the centre of the current view.

I wish this was a feature! The Bambu Studio camera only rotates about the center of the plate. I wish it rotated about either the center of the current camera view or rotated about the selected object. One way around this is to move the object you are inspecting to the center of the plate. Even if you just copy and paste the object onto a new plate for inspection purposes only.
