Rough texture using Elegoo PETG Pro using Bambu PETG HF Settings

Printing a lovely modern birdhouse using Elegoo PETG Pro, decided to use Bambu HF Preset on it. Turned out relatively great except for one side has rough texture outside and within. It is also the side with the supports

Why are there issues only on one side?
Should I have stuck with Generic PETG?
Could it a stringing issue? Not dry enough?
Should I look into Retraction settings?

  • Rough texture on side, where mostly the supports were
    * Printer model used
  • .4mm Nozzle, .16 Optimal @BBL X1C presets

Thank everyone kindly in advance

I am also interested in what would cause this. I just ordered some of the elegoo petg pro because it sounds like Bambu petg hf and my hope is to get more PLA like prints with the strength and temperature resistance of petg.

Other than these marks, how do you like the filament compared to Bambu HF? Or how do you like it overall?

I think they just released this Elegoo PETG Pro recently.

The marks could be because it needs to be dried.

I don’t know how to set speed properly in Bambu studio to match a manufacturers instructions. Elegoo says 40-100mm/s… how exactly do you configure this speed correctly in Bambu studio? There are so many speed settings…

In hindsight, it was definitely a longshot to pick a random profile hoping ti work work with Elegoo PETG Pro. I went ahead and went to the calibration tab in Bambu Studio and ran both auto calibrations, created a profile specific for Elegoo PETG Pro. Albeit a different color and different project I needed to print for, this turned out to be the right way forward so far.
