Rounding of slices

Hello everyone
Does anyone have any tips for me on how I can get the curve to look nicer. Are there ways to improve this in Bambu Studio?
Filament is Bambu PLA Basic.
Thank you for your tips

I would try to reorient it so it prints on the side (or perhaps facing down, as you have it pictured in the 2nd picture, but I’d try the side first). Reorienting would add more supports, but they would be in areas that may not be as important. But after re-orienting, I’d also halve overhang and bridge speeds. I found it can make a huge difference in quality.

Thank you very much for your tips. I don’t want to realign it because the square with the thread should remain movable. I’ll try the speed thing. what settings did you make? Thank you

In the speed section I divided all the Overhang speeds by 2. So instead of 50 30 10 I went with 25, 15, 5. Did the same for Bridge and put it down to 25. I got ‘ok’ results, but it’ll be very difficult to have a very smooth, round surface without reorienting.
Another option could be to just abandon all hope, change the design slightly, and make that section a narrow, straight edge that prints flat on the bed. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

This is a very common challenge. There aren’t a whole lot of options but one that you can try is to use the “Variable Layer Height” tool to selectively pick layers to have smaller layer heights. I see that you are already at 0.16 in your slice but variable layer height gives you the option of using thicker layers where it doesn’t matter and thinner layers down to 0.08 where you want finer or smoother curves.

Thank you for your help. I have now solved everything, modified the model a little, reduced the speeds and adjusted the layer height. Now things are looking good. Thanks
