Rubbing problem H2D light

just saw this problem is evolving

The tube’s hit the lights and everytime it is rubbing some material.

I dont know how to react.

I’d react by adding some transparent protective tape, if it was an issue for wear.

Good idea.

I was thinking about this too.

I will try it in 8 hours when my print finished.

I will post if it worked.

Wich brand or product would you take?

“Crystal Clear Gorilla Tape” is a good place to start, since it’s widely available. I’ve used it to protect various sporting goods surfaces in outdoor uses and seems to hold up really well vs abrasion and wide range of conditions. 3M protective films would be another.

What about wear on the other part?

Fixing with tape is ok for a Creality, but seems Bambu should adjust their manufacturing process.

Start a ticket with support. The more we point them to potential problems, the faster they can implement solutions.

ALready start patching a week old product???

Geez! We’re getting too permissive with the Crapality infection in our minds lol

Watched my print a few layers and it does not strike or rub the light. These machines take a long and bumpy ride here from China, I wonder if something is misaligned/got shifted during shipping…

Shorting the PTFE tubes might solve this issue but they cannot be shorted to the point that they don’t allow the head to reach the front corners.

Did you print all the way to the right? I used the full build plate.

I am thinking about witching the side of the PTFE tube holder to the inner/ left side.

I noticed it after seeing the post, and it seems that this angle is probably the main reason. May be a simple fix to reduce the angle.

I already did this. Because i want to help them too.

I was thinking about this too. But then i ask my self what is the function of this angle? Do we need it?

Temporary Fix – Here’s What I Did:

After some troubleshooting, I found that the chain was sitting too high and hitting the right LED light. This caused the PTFE tube to rub and wear down.

My Fix:
I removed the small holders from the chain, flipped them Horizontal

, and reattached them. Then I routed the PTFE tubes on the inside of the chain.

Now the chain no longer hits the LED – it gently touches the pad below instead. No more wear and no more annoying noises!

I recommend guiding the tubes above the chain. When I routed them below, it caused issues and the print head couldn’t move reliably.

Thanks to everyone who helped with analysis and ideas!

Happy Printing!

I created a low profile guide for the PTFE Tubes, which solved the problems for me, when I put it on the 6th chain link from the print head. I posted the model on makerworld.
