Run out of filament mid print
Try to adjust extruder temp, so can manually load filament, cant change the extruder temp
Press “Retry print” - extruder heats up and starts printing where it left off straight away.
The problem is the filament has not had a chance to be loaded properly.

Are you tying to set the extruder temp via the printer screen?, or via the APP / Bambu Studio?
bambu handy ios app → run out of filament error showing (retry/confirm) → click confirm → try to set the extruder temp manually, so can run the new filament in properly → can set the temp, but it doesnt goto temp. Click retry → heats up extruder and goes straight to printing. This is an issue, because the filament is not loaded yet. Have to push the filament in and hope that it grabs in time when it continues printing after the retry button pressed. Ideally, a purge would happen first to make sure the filament is loaded correctly before continuing the print.
I could use the printers LCD screen to do the load, but have been preferring the bambu handy app due to its general responsiveness.
Not sure if the issue was on a AMS connected machine or just external spool, I have been moving the AMS’s around between printers.
Might be one to raise a support request for, so the devs know about it.
