Does anybody know how ling the current “bulk” sale pricing will continue on filaments?
I was initially very turned off by the high price of Bambu filaments and ended up purchasing Overture (high quality) filament.
But the new bulk pricing, where a PLS refill is $15 when you purchase 4 spools is competitive. I have started buying Bambu filaments at the current prices.
Does anybody have any idea of this new $15 (for a refill or $18 for a spool) pricing is permanent or will go away? Any idea how long it will last.
If this was a new permanent price, I would shift back to Bambu filaments.
Bambu Lab (BL) used to provide bulk discounts on filament to anyone who had purchased a BL printer which would last for 6 months. When you buy another printer, the 6-month period reset giving you another 6 months from that starting point.
That all ended in the middle of March 2024, when they announced anyone could benefit.
Anyone would benefit from bulk pricing irrespective of any purchase of a printer and no more 6-month limits.
These filaments also show a discount unrelated to that of bulk purchasing, I have not seen an announcements that say if these prices are permanent.

So the current pricing, including “bulk” pricing for 4+ spools is believed to be not for a specific duration, but is “permanent” (eg long term)?
That is, this is their new regular pricing?
If so, it seems attractive and I will be buying Bambu filaments, where I don’t before.
It looks like it is based on their previous communication in March.

Yeah, they eliminated the “member” pricing from buying a printer and extended to all buyers. It’s just normal pricing now.
They lowered the prices a little to kinda soften the blow to those that saw a discount on 2-3 spools with the previous discount.
