Save auto calibration to Bambu Studio Filament profiles

According to the latest announcement, using the lidar calibration should be done on a cold plate only, and then then this is stored in memory on the printer, so you can switch to the PEI textured plate and away you go.

The problem though, is if the printer gets turned off, that calibration profile is lost.

It’d be great if this calibration info was sent back to Bambu Studio and saved against the filament profile. This way, we could load our filaments in, sync with the AMS, create filament profiles, run calibration and then switch to the textured plate and never worry about it again

I could imagine an automatic calibration of all rolls in the AMS.
Start a calibration via the menu, insert the cold plate. Then he prints with each Filimant his test and scans this. Then he stores the values in a fixed memory.

I agree. Curiously, the P1P has a feature where you can individually calibrate the Pressure Advance (that’s what the Lidar is doing) for AMS filaments and store them, the X1 doesn’t have this. I use the SoftFever fork, do my own PA tuning, enter it into filament profiles and disable the X1C’s own tuning.

This is exactly what I do. Would be nice if it just did it for you to save all the manual calibration.
Whole auto calibration thing becomes nothing more than marketing vapourware if you use a textured pei plate or anything that isn’t matte and smooth
