Hi all. I have a large 1pc model in SCAD (27x9x1 inch) that I need to cut into printable sections.
Is there any chance someone could help me figure out how to manage something like that? Thanks!

Take a look into this thread:
It explain how to send the different parts to different plates
Thank you so much. This helps explain the build plate setup! If anyone might have suggestions how to split the object and send to separate plates that would also be very helpful!
To close up the topic… It looks like the method of chopping and moving to build plates is a little different conceptually.
For an object that spans three plates wide, here are the steps.
With those steps, it was quite a simple process. Seems counter intuitive to generate the object several times, but this is needed to chop it up. If anyone can suggest a better process, please let me know!
Thanks
Studio has a cut function which will slice an object into two and optionally add holes and studs or dowels to help assemble the parts.
Hi all. I was able to finish my large model 42"x9"x1" thick and it looks great. I then cut the model into 5 parts each that fit nicely on a plate. However when add the code to MW parametric, I cannot download the 3mf file. Even though the model compiles perfect, it makes an error that the object is too large for the build plate. Even when I cut the part into pcs, I get the error. Even when I restrict the assembly view to only 1 small part, I still get the error.
If anyone has experience to conquer this, I’d appreciate it! I did submit a bug report, but no resolution yet.
The message is shown because of the automatic orientation option is enabled.
If you want to disable this option you need to your model page, edit it, and then click in this button:
Oh interesting. In my case, I do not have an associated model and have been just running the code from scratch. Do you know if this button would exist in this situation? I will need to look more too.
