Most commercial vpns that let you “select your exit node” means by definition that you and all the users utilizing that same service are sharing a small pool of ip addresses available at that server.
Not an ad. But like if 100 people using nordvpn and we’re connected to germany#22, to the maker world or Facebook or whatever website all look like they’d come from the same ip address. This is the heart of vpn. Concealing the true source. Now, site operators can detect likely VPN/tor exit nodes based on that traffic pattern, but this is usually unactionable. Your real users are in that river, you can’t just dam it all off

It’s a filter to help select for morons who have money that they want to take. Only morons engage with stuff like that, and morons don’t question those inconsistencies, or they wouldn’t be morons.
Models posted are getting comments within moments of being posted that are scam comments from some (at)moder4083.
That they appear to be being automatically generated makes me suspect a compromise and not just an attack by overzealous scammers. But it might not be too - need to emphasize that.
If it’s just a script running against their web page MW needs to turn that tap off quick. There’s a whole lot of models with messages to respond or else.
I sure hope Bambu gets a handle on this soon. I’ve had four of these today. Three came through chat and the most recent was posted as a comment on one of my models.
Users with NO downloads and NO prints and NO models and NO likes and that probably created their account today, shouldn’t be allowed to comment on models.
Maybe Bambu could put a low but minimal threshold before allowing people to comment or chat. It could be something low enough not to discourage newbies, but high enough to make it more difficult and time consuming for these scammers that keep making new accounts and then spamming everyone.
I’ve reported all four attempts. I was able to report the comment by clicking on it.
As far as the three attempts that came through chat, I tried emailing support only to get an email telling me that wasn’t a proper way to contact support, so I then opened a ticket.
That certainly seems like a bad decision, without a solution to cover the change.
I’m not sure when things changed, but this is the 1st time for me receiving these types of messages and to get four in one day, seems like something is seriously wrong.
Been a change on the messages getting spammed into the model comments. (At)moder got a new number appended to the ‘moder’ and after right at an hour ago they stopped.
Existing comments don’t seem to be being removed going by the comment on my own model still being there.
