Ho! I Just receive this message…
Can you confirm that Is a phishing message?
Discussed here
Yes it is a scam
This is a new one. I would think they would understand that everyone knows they are a scam after the first 5 accounts have been removed.
Tell me more about this massage, happy ending?
Scam on private massage
That is what the Thai place around the corner is for
Same place that @PrinterMcgee goes every Tuesday at 11 am
Everybody is getting these messages but me, why am I not good enough?

Sadly they are just betting on spamming enough of them to get account details to make it worthwhile, all they need is a few people to bite for them to make money from it
Whoa, whoa, those are just allegations! You can’t trust what those ladies say they aren’t even licensed masseuseses.
I know right
I never get the scam messages and nobody ever steals my models, starting to think nobody loves me not even the people willing to steal from others ![]()
Nor me.
As a general rule, you get a message like this you think might be a scam, go log in to your account manually (do not click any embedded links). If your account really has a problem, there’ll be an alert/notification to that effect when you log in and you can deal with it. No alert/notification when you log in = that’s a scam.
If they saw that one I think they would respond. I think they just signup, spam a message and never come back.
If they did read the responses it would be funny to hit them with a message from another official looking account that says since they are level 1 they need to pay $20 for their messages to be delivered, fight fire with fire ![]()
Don’t forget you can also report the site as deceptive so browsers will start flagging it
Check these may stop the PM from these fly-by-night accounts. Has anyone tried? I haven’t found the need to do that yet.
yeah i just turned all of those on they should have set it to level 10 though i still think 7 is too low to have an understanding of how it all works. i did it to mostly block trolls from low rating my models. Its ridiculous that Bambu just has no limits on accounts no accountability for troublemakers
How do you suggest they single out the the troublemakers and make them actually accountable? Banning the account won’t make much difference and they can’t remove points from throw away accounts as they don’t have any. Do you have a suggestion for a better way?
I think the ironic part of all this is previously you had to be level 7 to send messages… I think they lowered it because a couple of people complained here, but I’m pretty sure those people who complained are the same ones who message you asking, “can I sell your models on my website?”. What those people mean is they saw your very affordable commercial license button but are asking if they can do it for free. I think even if they raised the level to back to 3 that would stop these MW imposters.
I do have a suggestion.
I think it might help to ban account names that look “official”. I too recently received the phishing message, and I almost fell for it because the account name was “MakerWorld”. It seems reasonable to have a policy that forbids users from using misleading names that could cause confusion.
I was actually quite surprised to learn that MakerWorld doesn’t already have such policy.
