Scraping/Scratching sounds

Had my Carbon X1 for over a year now, working like a champ. general maintanence has been done, but lately just started making a terrible scratching/scrapping sound when moving around and printing. and also just saw this on my latest PETG print. Like the cutter is scrapping the filiment or the nosile has taking a turn for the worst.

Currently printing Bambu Brand PETG. 0.4mm Hardened Steel Nosel. 0.2mm layer for current print.

Video of sound

Going to replace the nosel for sure, but I have heard the sound a few times and it just keeps getting worse. will try cleaning the rods as well today. Any other thoughts/ideas on that noise?

Thanks,
Trevor Irish

How are you drying your filament?

Dryer is a Sovel 3D. nothing fancy, but has worked well for me so far.

My AMS’s current humidity is 24%

I did a print with this same Filament yesterday and it printed fine. might need another round of drying as it has been a while.

I have had issues with scratching once before, it was because my nozzle was damaged from abrasive filaments and the hole was too big so it would extrude filament then hit it when it went back over that area.

24% is really high, do you have dessicants inside your ams? I put lots of dessicants in every slot available, and the RH is usually <13%
