Sd card reader not working

So I have read all of the previous posts that are closed. I am into the printer for about a year it has always worked fine. Now it will not read the SD cards. It shows it is in there and I can format it in the printer but when I put files onto the card nothing. I have tried all sizes of cards formatted to Fat32 from pc and formatted from the printer. Nothing I have tried works.

AND ??
Are you using a blank card or one with the default folders added?
Does the printer add them when formatted in there?
Where do you place the to be printed files, root or elsewhere?
Does the printer recognise the card or does it to be formatted when you insert it?

If in doubt get the SD card formatting tool from sdcard.org.
It works with the controller in the SD card while Windows just enforces things with no regards to what the chip might prefer.
How do you put files on the card???
Just copy them over or do you send them through studio?
Do you use Studio to create the files or where do they come from ?

I was using a card with the files added but formatted them several times using the printer. I will check to see if the printer adds the files to the card when formatting. I am placing files on the disk not in folders. The printer does see the card but doesn’t see anything on the card. I am creating sometimes with Fusion and then slicing in bambu studio exporting onto the sd card. While I am at work the interweb will not let me connect to the printer so I can’t send files. I work at a school and they are going to check if they can put the printer into their system. But I have been using the SD cards for about a year. Sometimes it wouldn’t recognize them but I switched cards and it would see them.
Ok the printer recognizes the card is in and when the card is out. There are the files on the card (ipcam, cache, timelapse) I normally just add the gcode files to the card. I tried to putting one in the cache folder and it doesn’t see them there either. I am running the second to last firm ware 01.08.02 not the newest firm ware.

When I format the disk in the printer it doesn’t put the files onto the disk. I put a card in with a gcode file sliced in the bambu studio. I shows the card and with 0Gs on it. I formatted the card using the printer and it formatted successfully. I eject and it shows it ejected. When I put it in my pc there is nothing on the SD card. Using Bambu studio .1.10.1.50 is this the latest for Studio? I don’t know.

The recent firmware changes and Studio updates created a mess for a lot of users…
It it wit worked just fine in that past I just have to ask if you recently updated the firmware or Studio.
And how do you get the files onto the SD?
You say the in local network won’t let you connect…
Are you copying the files onto the SD or are you using Studio to push them over?
I guess the former…
I think the X1 supports hot swapping of the SD card, unlike the P1 series.
So the real question would be WHERE you place the files.
I only have a P! but AFAIK know all files for printing should goo in the root folder, not into the cache folder or any folder containing (default) print files.
The 1.0.8 firmware for the X1 series came with quite a few changes.
Were you able to use the printer as normal after the firmware update or did all this start with the update?
To format SD card in Windows try to make it a habit to use the SD card format tool from sdcard.org.
These guys define the standards and their format tool work with the chip on the card unlike Windows…
I doubt though that this is the issue causing the troubles.

Just to rule out the obvious, is there any chance you can get the printer and a phone or tablet to work together?
If you send a print file using the Handy app and that works you not only have confirmation but also a way to double check WHERE a print file has to go.

I am adding exporting from Bambu Studio straight to the sd card no folders and it has worked fine. I did update to the new firmware but when it wouldn’t allow me to print i rolled it back to pervious 1.18.2 version. I reset the printer to factory settings yesterday and loaded the 1.18.2 version. Still nothing I uninstalled and reinstalled bambu studio so pretty sure thats up to date. tried to send using bambu studio but because I have the internet on the printer through my phone they are not seeing each other haven’t figured out how to pair the printer with the Pc or my phone. Hence the call to technology to try to pair my PC through the schools network. Will probably take a week with all the red tape and they’ll tell me they can’t do it for some reason. I can take the printer home and use it on my network at home as they will be on the same lan or something like that. Thank you for your time. I appreciate any input I just can’t use the schools printer at school lol which is where I need it for our robotics team.

Might not be ideal and far a solution but…
You could use some old router to create a local Wifi network for the printer.
Not connected to the WWW.
Problem is that the printer needs the Wifi info and that Handy/Studio need the same info.
After this worked out and the printer is happy LAN only mode can be set active.
But AFAIK once the printer works/worked it should not be a problem to print directly off the SD card…
Bit weird…
