Second extruder in Bambu Studio problem [Self-Built printer]

Hello,

I have a self-built 3D printer with two print heads that can be exchanged using a tool changer. The printer is running on Klipper.

I was able to create a profile for this printer in Bambu Studio. Unfortunately, it wasn’t possible to define the second extruder. However, if I simply assign two different materials to a model, it almost works.

The printer requires the GCODE command T0 or T1 to change tools. These commands are automatically inserted into the GCODE. But unfortunately, the temperature for the second tool is not set. Now I could provide a corresponding command for heating in the start script. But then the temperature would always be the same and independent of the filament settings.

It would also be nice if I could define standby temperatures so that the inactive tool can cool down during the waiting time.

My question is whether I overlooked a corresponding setting for a second extruder or if it’s simply not possible at the moment.

oops didn’t mean to delete that.
Bambu Studio does not have dual extrusion; it’s designed for AMS and their ecosystem only.
Try Cura or Prusa slicer
