I was wondering about the secondary bed heating elements that I’ve seen mentioned some times.
Is there any information about them out? Like what kind they are? How they are powered? The Vector3D teardown doesn’t go into detail about this.
Or does this just refer to the passive heat spreading parts under the bed?
the main heating element is to get the bed to temp quickly and then the secondary element takes over to hold the temp.
And I don’t think Dr Tao in his interview with CNC Kitchen referred to a second heating element. I would have to watch it again but he was more talking about the time to stabilize than the wait for the second element to kick in. The picture from the disassembly on an other post seems to show 2 power inputs though which may be suggest that there are 2 parrallel « W » shaped heaters.
