Hi just put a brand new reel of Banbu Basic PLA in white (Not a refill but a new roll on reel) into my AMS and resync it and its seeing it a Black TPU? I’ve turned everything off and restarted it but just the same? Not had this with any other reel! Any ideas?
Reset it in the slicer/devices. Since you haven’t had any other issues I will assume you have auto update on for the AMS.
Usually simply changing it manually will sort it out. I’ve had this happen recently, I just set it manually and it was fine. Be sure the spool is setting in the AMS correctly, one lip in the little seperated area by the RFID “tower”.
If you see it on just that slot again, or it happens on other slots regularly there’s an issue.
I have the same problem, it was OK till a bit back, but now it’s seeing reels as filaments that I don’t even have!
I am now assuming that the reader system is faulty?
I think I may have found my problem! It’s whenever I put a reel of white in the AMS! I’m guessing that the tag may be corrupt or something! It doesn’t matter what position a place it in, it seems to screw up the detection of the other slots as well!
I seem to be having the same issue but with Black PETG HF (not refill but with spool)… The AMS is recongnizing it as Black PLA… Tried different slots of the AMS and checked with other spools to see if it reads correctly and yes they do.
I tried inserting the roll “backwards” so the ams reads the other NFC tag, and it got the right info : PETG HF Black! so i guess one of the tags is corrupt as well or wrongly configed
And once the AMS reads the TAG, I can’t seem to be able to manualy change the information (there isn’t a “pen” logo on the slot in bambuStudio… only an “eye”)
This needs to be done on the printer.
