I am a complete newbie to 3D printing. My Amateur Radio Elmer got me an A1 Mini for Christmas. I found a file for something that will be very useful for me if I can figure out how to configure it so the A1 Mini will like it.
I was hoping that Studio would highlight the settings that need to be changed.
I am new to this forum as well. So I am note sure how to post pix that I took of the screen.
I found the file on thingiverse and opened it with Bambu Studio. I then ran the slicer and then tried to print it.
I also had a similar issue trying to print a couple solder spool holder from the Bambu Handy app.
Not sure what I am missing. But I am sure I am missing something.
Thanks for any help.
@dmccutcheon When you download a model from makerworld to print directly, the file contains the printer information that the uploader used when they saved the profile. This is the printer type, filaments used, layer heights and colours etc.
You should be able to click on the X1 printer profile and choose your A1 mini instead. By doing this though, you’ll likely lose all the other parameters with it.
If you use the handy app, you can usually chose your printer and the filaments you want to use before you commit to printing.
Bear in mind that the A1 mini is unique in that it has a different (smaller) build plate than all the other BBL printers, so some models may not be saved with the A1 mini profile available.
Don’t feel like an idiot, I’m pretty new to 3D printing as well.
Just spend an hour trying to figure out, why my printer won’t print.
Your question / thread helped me (and for sure dozens probly. hundreds of clueless guys) solve the problem. Thanks!
When I select the new system preset from the “Bambu Lab A1 mini 0.4 nozzle” to the “Bambu Lab A1 0.4 nozzle.” my Model disappears, and the ability to print plate goes grey. It does ask to adjust the model but not sure if that would affect that or not.
Strength “Top/bottom shells,” “Bed Adhesions,” “Support,” and “quality.” i click to "Use modified balue, but the model disappears.
