Sending the calibration data takes an extremely long time

Hallo,

P1P Version 01.04.00.00
macOS 14.0

Bin ich der Einzige mit diesem Problem?

Hello,

When I want to calibrate FLOW DYNAMICS and FLOW RATES, it sometimes takes extremely long until the data arrives at the printer P1P. Sometimes it takes 10 minutes until the printer receives the job and loads the file from the cloud.

Print jobs, on the other hand, are executed immediately.

My configuration:
Bambu Studio version 1.7.4.52 (also occurred with the previous versions already so)
P1P version 01.04.00.00
macOS 14.0

Am I the only one with this problem?

I don’t have the P1P, but it shouldn’t influence so much.
In the X1C calibration g-codes (manual or automatic) are sent/received faster than a typical print.

All right. And why?
And how can you adjust that?

I don’t know. I intend to inform you that your slicer/printer behaviour isn’t expected.
It may be OS related (I doubt); I will test it during the day on the Mac to confirm.
Another hypothesis is security; are you using any active security software on your computer?

Thanks for testing.

Firewall can be excluded. I have also switched it off for testing. Normal printing is possible. Only when calibrating I have the problem.

Can also exclude the OS. No difference in the macOS.
In what language is your software?

English. Device and the application.

Sorry @olli.martin.
I don’t have further ideas of the issue’s cause.
I hope that another user may help you.

Hi @JayZay, I hope so too. Thanks for the help anyway.

Hello.

I think I have found the problem.
Despite a good WLAN connection (according to the display P1P), it was a WLAN problem. I moved the printer 50 cm from the wall further into the room. According to the display 1 bar more and full deflection! Now it always works.

Unfortunately, my log of the access point has also provided me with no helpful data. Actually all values super good. I think the interference for too high latencies in packet transmission lead to this. But why just when calibrating? This problem does not exist with normal printing. I think Bambulab will have to work on this again!

Glad to know that your issue is solved, and thank you for sharing the solution.
