Separate Makerworld top-level forum

There are so many new posts on Makerworld topics, I sometimes find it hard to read just the printer related topics. Don’t get me wrong - this is great! I’m glad people are enjoying and talking about Makerworld. I just wonder if it is big enough that it needs its own forum home of sorts? I don’t propose to know how that would work  just thinking about it aloud.

I’m not quite sure what you mean, there are categories for each topic. And then within each there are subtopics like the following. Can you expand on the request a little bit?

I guess I was thinking I’d like to be able to see the “latest” view that pulls the latest post from all forums, but maybe choose only the top level forms that I want in the latest view. I like reading about the makerworld stuff, and sometimes I add my comments. But some days I just wanna read about printer stuff and there’s a lot of makerworld stuff to go through  which again is totally awesome. I’m definitely a huge supporter of all the making and sharing going on.

Ah, I see. I think the best thing that helps me is to curate the list in the navigation menu to topics that I like to frequently read and bounce back and forth. Then I can sort those pages by latest.

I get where you are coming from. I honestly do and I often have similar feelings. I also find that the “moaning and groaning” in the MakerWorld forum area seems to “leak” into the other areas of the forum. I don’t know if separating the forums would fully change that but it would probably help.

One option you do have to put that section of the forum in your “Mute” list (Preferences/+Tracking). This way you can check it when you feel so inclined but threads won’t pop up in your feed.

I’ve done this for the international areas of the forum and it works quite well.

Clearly I need to learn how to use the tools! Thanks
