Seriously Bambulab, What is wrong with you?

The UV laser I bought from a company in China, same week I bought my H2C from BBL, also had separate shipping fees.

Large, heavy items cost a lot to ship. How much depends on where they’re going. To bury the costs of shipping in the product cost, they would have to either charge everyone more to cover their worst-case shipping costs, or they’d have to charge some lesser amount and lose money if there are more shipments to the more expensive regions.

I would argue it’s preferable to have shipping called out separately. It’s not unusual for websites to have different options for shipping - some faster than others - that I want to be able to take advantage of. You get what you pay for and I’m an “instant gratification” kind of buyer. I want it ASAP when I finally decide to buy it. I pick the more expensive option.

Not to mention fuel surcharges, right now shipping is costing a lot more. Long term contracts even have a fuel surcharge option for large shippers, and it comes out of the margins. If people really want to know what it costs to ship “today” they should see the price. I’d argue obfuscation helps companies set prices when shipping is at peak and reap the benefits when it drops down. Typical cyclical costs even drive prices.
