Large, heavy items cost a lot to ship. How much depends on where they’re going. To bury the costs of shipping in the product cost, they would have to either charge everyone more to cover their worst-case shipping costs, or they’d have to charge some lesser amount and lose money if there are more shipments to the more expensive regions.
I would argue it’s preferable to have shipping called out separately. It’s not unusual for websites to have different options for shipping - some faster than others - that I want to be able to take advantage of. You get what you pay for and I’m an “instant gratification” kind of buyer. I want it ASAP when I finally decide to buy it. I pick the more expensive option.
