So I’ve been looking forward to upgrade my Bambulab A1 after almost 1 Year and decided to go for the H2S series.
I’ve added the stuff I need to the cart and proceed to checkout.
How the heck does bambulab charge 80 Euros of shipping for a Printer over 1600€
Not only that, if the freaking filament buffer is MANDATORY to be used in the AMS 2 pro, why the ■■■■ doesn’t it come together with the freaking bundle/ Combo if we can’t use the AMS 2 pro without the buffer?
Is this type of behaviour the same stuff apple and Samsung does with the phones without chargers?
Regarding shipping, how are we paying so much for shipping if the shipping companies are already shipping together more stuff from the European warehouse?

FREE shipping in North America, but they added the shipping cost into the retail price. So if I go to a local 3D printing shop and they sell the printer at the same price as the official website, it means I’m paying extra if I buy from the local store.
I would suggest heading over to bambu academy to learn more about your new printer before making posts like this. Like hotellonely said, the buffer is built into the machine.
For H2 series the buffer is built into the machine. The note about the hub/buffer on the AMS 2 page is about X1/P1 series machines only. Welcome aboard!
Well honestly thanks. It’s a honest mistake if I really didn’t know about that and the unboxing videos I’ve watched don’t mention that, or at least I don’t remember that having been mentioned
While I find shipping is often included after a certain price point with many retailers, I also notice that oversize/overweight items will sometimes have extra shipping as an additional charge.
I already started the course on the H2S but didn’t finish it…

My initial rant is based on not knowing that and I don’t remember seeing the buffer on the unboxing videos or any mentioning of that even in the oficial BBL unboxing video
A few years ago I went to the store and bought a motorcycle. I looked at all the bikes in the showroom, and I chose one from the showroom floor. Salesman went off to make the bill of sale. When he came back, the price they wanted to charge me for the bike was a few $1000 more than the price on the bike itself. Included in the cost was an “assembly fee”. The bike was already assembled. I refused to pay and insisted if they still wanted to sell me the bike and would not waive the assembly fee, they could take it apart again and sell it to me unassembled and I’d put it back together myself.
There was much back and forth with the sales manager. I was ultimately able to whittle them down to about 25% of the original additional fee, but I couldn’t get them to zero it out.
When you buy a new car from a local dealership, you pay “destination fees”, some of the costs of moving the car from the factory to the dealership. Even though they’d never be able to sell you the car if they didn’t ship it to the dealership.
Not unusual for there to be “added fees” like shipping. Tends to be more common the larger and more expensive the item is, in my experience.
It funny, many motorcycles come in a crate and do have to be assembled, fluids put in, etc. It’s stupid to put it as a line item charge to the customer when it’s a cost of doing business on every single one of them and it’s not different than the document fees.
Similar to when cars are delivered, they are not finished 100% and have dealer prep they have to do, but again, this is on every vehicle and should not be a separate item. The price they pay from the dealer and MSRP should all factor that in so people stop getting upset about it.
You were right to fight that. It didnt cost them $1000 in labor to put the bike together more like $100 with fluids if they had to use store inventory to do it.
However, shipping an item you buy direct from the manufacturer is in fact a reasonable expectation. It’s either in the price, or it isnt. I know people think you end up ahead if its in the price, but in some cases you are paying the longest haul price in your area if its in there. It costs more to ship 500 miles than 100 miles.
