Set Default Print Speed

Not for lazy people, for people without the full featured interface - you can be even lazier than people not using Bambu Studio if you really want to. Just go download somebody’s process json, apply it to that filament, and now you don’t even need to click which speed you want. You won’t get things as good as using orca to run your own profiles for your own printer, but it’ll be light years better than slow/standard/sport (which don’t differentiate for overhangs, bridges, ironing, or anything else, they just multiply the numbers in the gCode).

I’m pretty certain this is why Bambu have never implemented the speeds into Bambu Studio.

So what’s your solution to my (our) problem?

Honestly? Block out a day to run Orca profiling on the filaments you want to use, input the outcomes of those profile tests into a user profile for each filament, and wonder why you didn’t do it sooner as your quality and ease of printing shoots up. You can get both quality AND speed out of it.

Failing that, find print profiles on makerworld for the speeds that you want - you can save a profile for one thing and use it for some other model, just save it as a user profile. Now you never need to worry about picking a speed again.

Sorry, but I’m tired of workarounds and having to go back and forth with Orca.
Its a super simple request and if I wasn’t for people who apparently have all time in the world and those who don’t bother about anything, this would most likely already be a thing.

I sincerely don’t care how you do it. I want that button!!

You can’t really be tired of workarounds or Orca, because if you had done either just once, you wouldn’t have the problem. It goes away immediately after doing it once, and stays gone.

All I can say is in the time it’s taken you to write these replies, you could have grabbed a makerworld profile and been done with it. Meanwhile Bambu has ignored this for multiple years and looks like it will continue to do so…
