Hello, I wonder if there is a way to set a filament color per plate or to the plate, then anything I place on that plate will be automatically assigned that filament color.
I don’t think this exists but the easy way to do it is to place all your objects on the plate and when done right click on the plate and click “select all” then on the left panel under objects, all the objects will be highlited, do a right click on those objects and click “set filament for selected items”.
Thanks, That’s how I have been doing it, the problem is most of the time I need to rearrange items I want in different colors and usually, there are several items I rearrange because of the order I want them printed in, so I have to make a new plate, slide those over, change their color, rinse and repeat. Would be easier if I could assign the plate a color, then anything I set on it is automatically assigned that color.
You can also press the number keys on your keyboard to change any selected objects to the same filament number from the filaments panel.
I use this all the time to quickly change colours on multi-colour models as well as changing all selected items to a distinct colour.
I’m am not sure how many people would benefit from this, that said, depending on how the sub-system is designed, it wouldn’t be that difficult for them to implement.
I have updated your topic tags to a feature request. This way it might be seen by BL, previously they wouldn’t have an easy job finding it.
OK, that number key trick is getting it done nicely for now! Thanks, and thanks for updating the topic tag!, I don’t imagine this would be too difficult to implement but even for creating a profile this might make things flow a little smoother.
