Settings for Filament different than other printers?

Hello, I have a question about the filament settings: I have a Prusa Mk3s+ and I have it in the basement of my house, now in winter it is a bit cold we talk about max. 15°C. On really cold days my prusa says it has reached the minimum Temperatur or temperatur error because it is too cold in there…
Also the printer is in front of a windows which causes a bit of a draft at some days so I experienced some print fails because of that.

I ordered a P1S last week due to the Blackfriday deals. As I am waiting for my printer to arrive the next days, I was wondering about some printer Settings for the filament. With my Prusa Mk3s+ i found that 65°C for the bed and 210-205°C for the nozzle is about perfect for all of my prints with PLA.

For PLA I use a lot of Polymaker, Prusa and ESUN or SUNLU Filament. I was wondering if with the P1S printer those settings work too or if I need to change them a bit? Maybe you guys with a lot of experience can give me some tips or recommend me some settings? Starting with PLA and PETG for the next weeks and then go to other materials
Just to get started with my new printer a bit faster, some settings would be cool. I know I have to test a lot with it in the beginning to see what works best but some recommendations would be helpful

Thanks and best regards!

Welcome and I hope you enjoy the P1S.

This is just my personal experience, but for PLA I usually just try the slicer defaults and rarely have had adhesion or printing problems that require additional tuning. So I would certainly try those profiles first instead of using your Prusa settings. For Polymaker there are filament presets for them built-in that you could use and for the esun, prusa and sunlu I’d just use the generic PLA preset.

Thanks for your reply. Can´t wait that my new printer arrive
Ok perfect, I am also pretty new to Bambu Studio because I used the Prusa Slicer in the past. Where do I find the presets for Polymaker Filament in Bambu Studio?
For the rest I will test the Generic Settings in Bambu Studio.

Thanks again and best regards!

You probably need to enable them, then they will appear in the filament pull-down boxes. Click here to edit the list of filaments:

Perfect thanks, i will take a look at that

eSun haben Filament- und Druckprofile für ihre Filamente auf ihrer Webseite. Die kannst Du in Bambu oder Orca ganz einfach importieren.
