For the past few weeks, verification has been taking several hours when I upload a new model or even when I tweak the description on an existing model. This is quite frustrating on multiple levels, including needing to continually check back to make sure it was successful.
I’m surprised that I don’t see a current discussion thread about these long delays, which makes me wonder if it’s the new norm.
I’m wondering what others are experiencing and if there is an explanation for the delays.
I’m hoping this is temporary, but again, I don’t see another current discussion on this topic.
Yes, that’s normal. In rare cases, it can take up to a day. However, there are also days when it goes pretty quickly - it varies.
I don’t really understand what’s so frustrating about it - the upload just needs to be verified. It’s just a safeguard against spammers and scammers. It doesn’t make any difference whether the model is online in an hour or in 24 hours.
To avoid having to edit it too often, you can save it as a draft and take your time editing.
Most people don’t see it as a bad thing because the alternative would probably be more scammers uploading their 3D models, and nobody wants that.
I have no problems with uploading models. Mine are still verified in max 3-4 minutes.
I’m having trouble uploading models. But only when I try to upload a nice GIF of my model being printed. In all other cases, without this GIF, my models are still verified in 1-3 minutes at most.
