@MakerWorld Today i was warned that my models, and lots more, are being sold online by other people and even shops, without attribution or license attached. Tried creating a ticket but it asks me for a gif/image of me filling a copyright notice against the website, but most of them don’t have that option at all. So here i am asking for my Exclusive models to be protected.
Will post them as i can and find. Everyone should look if there’s a model they know or made there.
They won’t accept it without a gif or a picture of said copyright request on the website where the model is. The website has no request or support for it anywhere. What makes the ticket worthless because it can’t be sent.
No problem. It’s a bummer, but i must at least try and see how it goes from here. And to make other aware because i see lots of models other than mine there too.
Still waiting for @Makerworld to offer me a solution for the same ongoing problem. I joined the Exclusive program with this model exactly because of this.
Edited: The user bought a commercial license after being confronted. There is no excuse for stealing and selling other people’s work and only after being caught, doing the right thing. I’ll leave the name and website as a safe measure for the future.
yes it is… Who had imagined that joining an exclusive program that grants you some kind of protection would end like this right?
Almost 1 month and i have been reporting what i can and yet, @makerworld did nothing. It’s an example for those who want to join a program that lies to the users.
Yep, took a look and there are lots of models from here and from many users. Will have to compile a list of some sort and just deal with it until the exclusivity ends and then removing most models from the platform.
Is this the French version of Craigs List? I think everything this guy has for sale (and it’s a lot) is from here. They even put the Leboncoin logo on our pictures.
How do you guys find that stuff especially on non-english sites? The 2 ways I found mine is by searching keywords since my item weird enough and by searching for photos because thiefs also steal photos… But what do on non-english pages and when thief done their work and photographed the item themselves?
Open google.com, drag one of your pictures into the search. Look around. There are more reverse search websites that cover all together. Yandex, Bing, Google, etc…
