Here are a few of my favorites:

The workplane tool/button is extremely useful for moving parts together or apart in relation to each other. Once I understood how it worked, I started using it all the time.

When you are resizing/rotating any object, you can click on the numbers displayed and then type in an exact value if you want.

While there is no dedicated function to lay an object flat, I figured out a way to easily place one object flat against another one (or just against the base workplane)

  • Click the workplane button, and then click the surface of the object you want to move
  • Select that same object and cmd/ctrl-x (cut) it
  • Click the workplane button again and click on the target surface you want to move it to
  • Cmd/ctrl+v to paste the object - it will now be flat against the target surface
