All discussions like this show to me is that my models need to be published under the most restrictive license possible.
It’s the only way to have recourse against the bottom feeders.
That’s the reality. Where I’ve posted stuff all the way to fully open, it’s the quick way to let the opportunists steal from you wholesale. I won’t be doing that anymore.
just trying to get to the point where I can post a question to the forum. I found a part in my x1c that I don’t recognize and can’t find where it came from
So sorry for your bad experience with Bambu’s printer and customer support.
However, although you may express your frustration on this forum, do keep in mind that:
this is a community forum, where users, like yourself, communicate and exchange opinions, tips and tricks, experiences (including bad experiences like yours) and socialise with each other.
although there are a few moderators on Bambu’s payroll active on this forum (sort of), and they could eventually escalate your problem/ticket to the right department, it is our (long term) experience that they are usually not that reactive and/or helpful when it comes to such matters.
Best option for you would be to continue putting pressure on Bambu’s customer support and solve your problems that way.
The forum users might sympathise with your situation, might provide some tips based on their own experiences, but ultimately you’re going to handle this all by yourself.
I’m sure everyone can understand your frustration, but try to chalk it up to experience.
In business, having a backup plan is essential - always. Warranty issues can usually be handled afterward, but the key is being prepared.
Do I have a replacement unit available?
Can someone quickly drive over with a spare?
Do I keep replacement parts in stock?
In the end, this situation comes down to a series of unfortunate business decisions. Even Bambu can’t prevent that.
Always treat solutions and backups as the top priority - handle warranty claims retroactively.
That’s what sets a well-prepared business apart from one that loses customers.
If you’re looking for VIP repair service for 3D printers - essentially a rental 3D printer - there are providers who offer that. It does come at an additional cost, but in return you’ll have a working printer again as soon as the next day.
Notifications for Direct Messages. Could MakerWorld add email or push notifications for new direct messages?
I am currently working with another user to modify one of my models, but because of the time difference, we only have a few hours each day when it is convenient for both of us to communicate.
At the moment, I have to keep checking MakerWorld to see if he has replied. It would be much more convenient if MakerWorld could send a notification when a new direct message arrives, similar to notifications for ratings & comments.
This would make direct messaging much more useful, especially when users are working together on a project.
I think trustpilot rating is higher than reality if anything. We get a clog in every other print and spend hours on video support chat and whatsoever (new filament head etc). Hard to believe this time and energy investment is worth…
My feedback on this is simple: Absolute customer focus.
I have no idea if any of these things are already in place or not, but they are the things I would want to offer if I had any say, because these are the things that I have found the most value in over my 15 years in manufacturing dealing with other companies.
Stop being so shady about your software.
Strive to offer the best customer service in the industry. Don’t allow any customer request to go unresolved, even if that means “hey sorry you are out of warranty but here’s the solution and the parts cost $X”.
Offer the longest default warranties in the consumer industry. Even if it’s just 3 months more than the other guys.
Offer extended warranties for those of us willing to pay extra for that.
Offer up a professional warranty service guaranteeing <24-hour, rapid support for businesses which use your products. Obviously this should come at a higher cost. Perhaps even a subscription.
A mid-tier product will provide repeat customers time and time again if top-tier support is available. A top-tier product with top-tier support can dominate the industry.
After so many years since I’ve bought my printers, and based on (already lost the count) the number of complaints about the (lack of) Bambu’s so called customer support services, I came to the conclusion that Bambu is using in relation with its own customers, the following approach: "GUILTY until proven innocent "… and good luck trying to prove you’re innocent of any misdeeds on your non-functional (still under warranty) printer.
I am stuck with my H2Sbut I cant post a topic because I get no topic start button in the forum. Yes, I am logged into my account and i tried both firefox and edge browsers. I feel shut out.
