Show height bounding box

Is there a way to show a bounding box for the height of objects? I do NOT mean how to adjust layer height. I do NOT mean how to change printer size. I do NOT mean how to use variable layer height. I simply want a way to see what the max height is with a bounding box, very similar to how it shows in “print by object” mode, but at the full height of the printer.
Thanks for the help in advance.

Not that I have seen.

Chances are you know about these:

  • Select all objects, you see a bounding box, doesn’t show height.

  • Select all objects, select the size toolbar icon, you see the dimensions of the selection, doesn’t show a true-bounding box.

yeah, thanks for the reply, but your right, not exactly. If you select an object you get a bounding box for that object, however if you rotate the object the bounding box “moves” with it, so that is really just an object bounding box, not something that would show the height available. Maybe I will put in an enhancement request.

I didn’t say “an object” I said “all objects”.

I also said that didn’t show the height.

For the second point I made:

yep you’re right. When you select all objects that would show a bounding box around all of them at the utmost height of the tallest object. That however is not necessarily the max height of the printer. Yep you’re right again you can see the dimensions if you choose the scaling function, but “not a true bounding box”
Thanks for the replies.

Simplify3D has that feature (and I liked it) but as far as I know none of the Prusa and derivatives do.
