Show hours of use of hotend

Is there a way on the console or via Bambu Studio you can see the number of hours or volume of filament which has run through a hotend?

They only display printer time used in the settings.

I am not sure that would be easy to do. I swap hotends alot between prints and I don’t believe that the printer has a way of tracing which hotend I have inserted.

Ok, that makes sense. Any idea how long or hours a hotend should last?

Based on @3DTech post, I can at least obtain the total printer time so I can create a PM schedule based on printer time.

The lifespan of a nozzle depends on several factors, such as the type of filament used and the number of printing hours. Hardened steel nozzles can last a long time, but most issues arise when they become clogged or bent due to printing errors.

The H2D will include one spare 0.4 nozzle.

Thanks for the info on the lifespan of the hotend and when to know when it’s useful life may be over. I’m all about being proactive on performing PM on a scheduled basis based on data and this is my first 3D printer, so all feedback is helpful.

You’ll really enjoy all the things you can create with 3D printing! Plus, the Bambu Forum has a ton of knowledgeable people who are always willing to help out. :grinning:
