The side bar takes up nearly half the screen. Hiding it isn’t good enough as I work with a large build area and small sidebar where I go back and forth tuning prints. Now it takes my workflow 3x’s longer.
It used to default to a smaller size. Please make it resizable.
I agree. I really hate how large the sidebar is now! It was much more aesthetically pleasing when it was at its previously default size. Implementing a resizing option for the sidebar would be incredibly convenient and accomodating to many people’s preferences!
Also having this problem, sidebar is too small and can’t be resized when using my normal screen. Using an external monitor that is bigger helps, but my workflow is slowed down because some of the settings aren’t even fully visible. Also, the filament names get cut off and I can’t tell what type of filament they are without clicking each of them individually. Please allow us to drag the sidebar to resize!
Had the same problem - with new monitor (4K, 150% windows resize), the sidebar was too “thin” (or whatever the proper english word is), cutting off half of the info there.
After couple of scale changes (Desctop → right click → Display Settings → Change size of text, apps and otheritems) to 200%, 175%, 125% and back to 150% (the recommended in my case) the sidebar is almost proper size (all of the info is visible, but is little wider).
Some of the changes of the scaling were made while Bambu studio was on, some of them while it was off (for all that matters)
Still not resizable though (latest version: 2.1.1.52)
It will be good to have it fixed to be resizable in the future
Just adding my vote here, because wtf.
I open studio, find this ugly sidebar taking all the space, goes to grab and resize it and find out I can’t?! That’s a basic feature! Let users decide their workspace organisation!
Agreed, I just updated to this newest version and the side panel changed. It is abnormally too large and takes up half the screen. There is no adjustable setting. It can be hidden, which I guess is ok, because it’s not really needed while working on the model itself. But it looks very odd when displayed, too much space that can be used for the model. Anyone found another work around?
I’m going to use Orca Slicer till this is fixed. Bambu dropped the ball on this even if its a scaling error with windows. Its never happened before and it make the app un-usable.
Changed to a 4k monitor and had the same issue. Fixed it by changing the screen resolution to a different size, applied it, then changed it back and all was good.
