Single spool unload button

when the AMS is unplugged, there is an onscreen “Unload” button for unloading single spool. A few revisions ago, Bambu added the ability use a single spool without electrically disconnecting the AMS. Therefore, there should be a single spool unload button, even when AMS is still electrically connected.

Agree. A load button would also be nice…

I just manual do those things unless you want the automatic cut function to work
A load button could be nice. But it’s just optional
Also a load button will most likely create more waste as it purge a lot when manual you can see how mutch you purge

The X1C is about ease of use, a loading procedure makes sense. Even more so when there’s an unload button, one would therefore expect a Load button.

i do agree on that part
maybe they can make it like the prusa, a auto sense loading, so when you push filament into the sensor it start the auto load procedure

ofcourse that is not possible for the AMS , but the AMS already has a load function so it would indeed make it easyer

i also preffer that way instead a other button on the UI, as that will cause confusion between AMS and non AMS

AMS complicates things a little but not all printers have the AMS so I think it makes even more sense for there to be a load option on the screen for them. With load you need to know the filament going in so the temp is sufficient.

that is why i would love the auto load
so you put filament in to the sensor
it ask you what filament it is ( as it does not know it )
it preheat the nozzle and start the loading process

well basically the same as most printers do with a filament runout sensor
as they made it now that you can print with out disconnecting the AMS i think that a load button will be confusing
so i preffer the auto load system , makes it easyer on both sides
so users with out ams just put the filament in to star the auto load and users with ams still connected do exactly the same , as the printer never got a load command ( the button ) it should automatic swap to single spool use

Atleast that is what i think

Howwdo you use the external feed without unplugging the AMS?

Electrically just don’t use the AMS when you start a print. Filamentally you have to unplug the tube or fit a Y joint at the printer entry.

There are different Y-Splitter for feeding the extruder directly or via the AMS (e.g. Printables ) and then when starting a print you can tell if you want to use the AMS for filament or not. So no need for disconnecting anything.

Yes, single spool load/unload are in optimization.
