Are these from the SirayaTech website? I’ve found them to be a good starting point, but I needed to make some changes for best performance.

Yup. Coming straight from there.

Drakko:

Thanks for the settings! I’m printing Siraya Tech TPU 85A for the first time and it was challenging until I tried your profile. Now I’m getting a gorgeous first layer using the Engineering Plate and no glue or anything.

The only remaining problem involves softness and elasticity of the TPU 85A. When trying to pull it from a full spool mounted on the back of the printer, there is too much friction and so the filament gets stretched. When that happens, the hot end gets “starved” for plastic and the quality goes downhill fast. I tried a filament box with ball bearing rollers, but that didn’t work much better. So I pulled 100 feet of filament off the spool and into a large, round plastic food container, made a small hole in the top and inserted the tube in that. I add some desiccant jars snapped the lid on tight. So far, that is working well.

This is a 5-hour print, so fingers crossed…

Thanks again!

NOOB question–checked WIKI and tried searching…
Running X1C and Bambu Studio

After I open the custom filament profile you linked to (thank you!), how do I get it saved as a user preset?

Thanks

It’s not a NOOB question; the ability to save a custom filament profile appears to be mostly broken in the current version of Bambu Studio.

Which is (one of the reasons) why I’m using OrcaSlicer instead of Bambu Studio, and have stopped updating my printers’ firmware since January 16th, still running the 08/2024 firmware version…
