Slice & Save to print with either extruder on H2D?

I have a model that I print A LOT.
Sometimes I need to print it in black PLA, sometimes in white PLA

I keep these colors loaded into the 2 extruders on my H2D, and I have two print job files saved on the USB drive: one for the Left and one for the Right.

Is there a way to slice my model and save a SINGLE file on the printer that will allow me to select which extruder I want to use when I start the job from the printer’s control panel?

Little confused you can always override the ‘color’ in the last step before printing and that way force the left or right no ?

You can’t over ride which side nozzle in the printer menu.

Basically you have already the simplest solution given yourself.

Just use the 2 files, left or right. What color eventually sits in the extruder, doesn’t matter then.
The only difference between your proposed solution and the current solution, is that you would have one file wich is twice as large, and you would have to pick the extruder in the menu.
So either you select the correct file, or the correct extruder in the printer. What is the benefit?

I don’t think so. it seems that you always have to select the same extruder (left or right) as you selected when slicing

Ya, that is what I thought. I was hoping to simplify my file inventory. I have several printers and many files I want to manage like this.
