Slicing adds lines that should possibly be retracted

See the screenshots…

I’m looking to print this tool, but when I slice it (A1, 0.4 nozzle, “standard” 0.2 preset) I get these extra lines of filament added.

The part rendered in BS “prepare” tab:

The sliced part rendered:

There are 4 extra “lines” from one corner to different points on the opposite side of far end of the open-cylinder part.

Slicing shows that they are “outer wall” lines. The standard, strength and draft presets show this issue, but nothing else I have tried does it (fine, extra draft, etc are all OK).

Other than the brim, the part has infill at 100% and uses rectilinear infill but is otherwise using defaults on the standard preset.

Any idea what the issue could be?

Hi,

The issue lies in the model: Balloon Quick Knotting Tool气球快速打结神器 by SUPERNICE - MakerWorld

If you look for a solution, reduce the layer height (e.g. 0.18mm or lower), and it will vanish.
