Middle portion of above print should look flat and smooth. It is sloped slightly. It was printed in the same orientation on sport speed .20 layer height. As you can see other sloped areas look flat and smooth. Any suggestions on how to fix. Use lower layer height? Use adaptive layer heights? Lower speed?
According to number of steps it seems like 1.8 mm difference from lowest/highest step. If you print with 0.1 layer height, you will get two times more steps and smoother transition. It’s how technology works, it prints a layer of certain thickness, it extrudes flat layers of plastic. Regular FDM printer cannot extrude plastic under angle. So small slopes which are almost parallel with the bed look the worst. If you want smoother transition, either print with thinner layers or for best results rotate a part so this slope is printed vertically.
TY for your reply. Its what i was figuring just wanted to pick brains to see if i was missing something.
Sometimes it is possible to change the orientation of the printed object to eliminate this effect.
