Not sure if it just me or not but i havent been able to get the auto slot change on filament run out to work. I dont know of any options i need to activate for it to work or if it is just standard now. The 2 slots were both the same colour and filament presets in the system, but it still wouldnt begin printing again until i moved the new spool to the old AMS slot. Secondly i am cautious about this feature right now and of any spool getting to the end. So far i have found most spools have a kink in the end which could cause issues and even some Bambu Lab spool have had the end taped to the cardboard core which will definitely cause damage being pulled into the gears. Im not currently sure of a solution. 3DQF have the best idea with their spools that i have seen so far, the finishing end is put through two holes in the side of the spool just like the start of the spool and you get instructions to cut it before printing with the filament. This leave a clean end for the AMS to pull off the spool.
I presume that requires the new printer and AMS firmware. Do you have it? I don’t.
There is a bug in the software. After you restart the software you have to recheck the AMS slot loading button or it won’t work. I literally just saw it turn itself off when I went back to the screen to check it. It was checked and then unchecked itself. This is definitely a big bug. Does anyone know where this can be reported?
they should be reading these posts, i got a firmware update yesterday and the AMS auto switch has now been removed entirely
