So I’m printing some key chains
And one thing I noticed is if the slicer could understand colors by layer into object printing. It might be possible to have where 2 things happen.
- It tries to make as little color changes as possible. So for example in this it printed bottom left, middle left, bottom right, upper left. This causing a number of needless color changes. Like instead of going from Bottom right and then top left. It could’ve reversed that to save a change right there since there is only 1 brown bottom part and 1 brown upper part. But 3 black bottom parts.
- In this case where we have 3 black bottom parts. What could’ve happened is the printer would’ve done what it could’ve for the pink, white, and brown bottom part. But then switch to black to get all the black bottom parts. Then keep that and do the top black part for the last 2. This saving a ton of changes.
