Not points (or boosts), just the download and print counts.
Got a whopping 2 downloads and 36 points total so far. To be fair, my two designs are pretty niche though. Planning on makin some stuff like figurines, hoping they do better lol.
Can’t argue with you on the niche comment.
Nothing wrong with your designs, just, the audience for them is going to be small.
If you’re seeking mass downloads, you need to find something everyone needs or wants, but, hasn’t yet been filled and make the best version if that so those who come after you can’t compete.
Then, and this is most import, once you have this great idea, tell me, give me a week as a head start.

Honestly I’m over the point gain, I’m just not stressin and on my daily grind. Instead of striving to model for “MakerWorld” I’m more so only releasing things I’ve modeled for my own need and think people could benefit from.
Just uploaded a new system I find could be very useful to people using filament dryers. It’s a common name but I simply call it “MagLink” hopefully it helps some individuals

Back to refining that next model.
I like this idea, I’ll have to mess with it to see if I can get it to work with the S4

Pretty much gave up on gunning for points since the update. I am taking a slower pace in designing and working on more personal projects instead.

i understand the website is new and developers are working on it, but i can’t tell what is going on in here, does the website has a bug? suddenly no views, not getting points for uploads nor prints,and cant rate profiles, is the reward system more favorable towards bambu printers owners, and for non owners has to work extra hard?
Yes, yes and yes.
Rating.
You can only rate a print profile if you print it on a bambulab printer. So obviously you need a bamboo printer to earn points on ratings.
Print profiles.
A successful Print count for 2 downloads. But the prints are only counted on Bambu printers when using the handy app or Bambustudio.
So basically if you have a print profile made for bbl printers you will earn more points. And you can only genuinely doing it if you have a bbl printer yourself.
You can earn some points by uploading your first print profiles. Once again only bbl printer profile will give you points.

The rules are not clear enough at all about that. By design? I don’t know.
And since one month there are new rules in place on how downloads and prints are counted to fight bots but this impacts anyone. And once again nothing is mentioned on the website.
It can be confusing because the policies and rules of the site are changing, sometimes to a large degree, and yet you won’t know about them unless you follow the forums closely, and even then, some of the important details behind the changes are not spelled out.
I do wish MW will at least have an up to date FAQ and pinned change document for the rules and policies of uploading and earning rewards.
