So we can get a discount of $80 if we return or $120 if we keep

Hi.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Having a filament blob which burnt out the TH board, broke the hotend heating assembly and warped the cooling fan in the first month and then the recall has just made me question the reliability of the A1.

That’s a lot to go wrong in a month of ownership.

I use an X1C at work and have never had an issue.

I have chosen to send this back and purchase a P1S.

I am lucky that after contacting a reseller in Canada they have said I can send the printer back to them even though I purchased it direct with Bambu. They will fix the machine for me with the parts I just received and the they will deal with the discount etc and I just pay the difference.

Yesterday’s update lists the following, which I hope will help reduce such failures:

A1 version 01.02.00.01 (20240206)

  • Introduced ‘Nozzle Clumping Detection’ which can automatically detect filament clumping on the nozzle.

That is my plan as well. The AMS on the A1 is so awkward. I bought a bunch of new tubing from them so I could somehow mount it away from the machine. Hopefully I get a refund for all those extra bits and bobs I bought.

Carried out the update today and would explain why my next few prints kept stopping several times stating a nozzle/filament issue, could not see any problem on each occasion so just kept restarting the print and they all eventually completed no issue.
Did notice however that the print head was parked over the rear right hand side of the bed over my plate alignment addition and wondered if this was confusing the system some how.

I’ve been printing with zero issues for the last week after the update.

Efectivamente, es un problema relacionado con las piezas de alineación que has añadido a la cama. Quítalas y te volverá a funcionar con normalidad.

My support ticket was entered on 2/7/24 and I have received no response yet.

P1S is not even available for purchase now. At least not online or at the brick and mortar retail stores.

Good to know. I did this very thing shortly after reading your post. Thanks.

Same date and same status even today

Yeah, I had tried to take apart an old CRT monitor. But my father did warned me about how dangerous it is as well. And ending up just simply throwing it away.

What they should have done and I don’t know why they didn’t was to give you the store credit immediately! I don’t see why they didn’t. Then you could have replaced the printer right after the A1 went down. WTF were they thinking???

I think BL just did that to cover their ass and to put the blame on the user if any problems arise after the warning. I kept using mine anyway because I figure the chance of it catching fire is less than me getting hit by a bus.

one of my friend in Ireland told me he even receveid 2 spools of samples petg cf from bambu as its taking more time until the cables arrive… my other friend in Canada told me he hasnt received anything tho

I haven’t received ■■■■. Still waiting for the bed.
