Just spent a hour installing the replacement bed. All went well until I went to calibrate the machine. I noticed that during calibration of the Y axis the bed was making much more noise than it used too. Started tracking it down and noticed the cable is dragging on the printer. I saw that the bed is dragging the cable across the rear of the printer and because the printer is hollow in that section it makes a very nasty sound. removal of the new heat bed reviled the clamp that used to lift the cable and keep it from drooping is no longer there. Granted this only appears at quick bed movements but is it going to create wear in the future on the braided cable shield. I never had this issue with my old bed.

Replaced mine this weekend. I will check if this occurs with mine also, but looking at the whole thing I don’t think this can happen: the cable isn’t touching the printer base at any position of the bed. Are you sure the cable is in a smooth curve from the base upward to the bed?
Yep. I think it’s gotten better over the day since the wire has had more time to relax.
Thanks

Here’s the underside of my new heatbed. You may compare this to your heatbed to ensure your heatbed cable is clamped and secured properly. I haven’t experienced my new heatbed cable dragging since installing it a week or so ago
Seems to have cleared itself. Perhaps the cable needed to work it’s way into position. I did have a bit of an issue with tramming the bed. But I just readjusted all the screws and it’s good too.

p.s. I’m going to be using the old heat bed later since I like having heavier and more flexable wires on the bed heater.
