So… who bought 2?

So who got 2 machines? Or will get 2? And why? (And is there any point in trying to talk myself out of it?)

I want a second for my business, but it limits you to one per order. If you are only doing this as a hobby then I would only get one. But if you have the money and want to spend it then go for it.

After the first one arriving and seeing the build quality, the silence while printing etc, Im thinking of selling my upgraded P1s and ordering a second one. I always run two printers, sold the X1 a few month ago in anticipation for the H2D.

I’m really enjoying having a second printer. Don’t often get time to print stuff and if I can split it between two machines it’s so nice. Done in half the time.

My second is an X1C. I think upgrading to a second H2D would be great but I’m happy with what I have now.

Yes that and having one available for long multi day prints, and the other for smaller projects/orders is great.

Very likely. I’ll wait until the first one is basically paid off (paid itself off), then add #2.

Omg it’s so nice and quiet, I forget it’s there in the office printing when I’m busy on the computer till i hear the click where it changes nozzle.

Yes and I have custom profiles on my X1/P1 to turn down the AUX and chamber fans, as well as a silencer/muffler with hepa on the exhaust… but its still way more loud.

I’m wanting to get a second one. Going to wait until stock is a little more stable, and hopefully some of the other world issues calm down.

I really like my unit. It’s been super awesome so far. I’ve already been putting together a few projects sized for it’s larger bed, and so have quickly got bottle necked, haha.

I’ve been doing some ABS prints on it finally too, and am extra pleased with that so far.

Has anyone tried frying an egg and then cutting it with the laser?

Science requires those willing to try the untried!

I’m still waiting for this pancake extruder add-on

I mean, I feel like this could work. Although, maybe not fry, but slow cook?

How would it taste though.

Who’s gonna be the first to try?!

Might as well get the Belgian waffle iron/press add-on while your at it.

Don’t let a pesky long print ruin breakfast though.

Im sticking with my 2 x1c’s for my business, i did treat myself to an ams 2 pro but business is doing well with these machines, i have no need for a newer model

I bought one laser combo that should ship April 25th. I bought a second machine - the H2D AMs combo - that should ship May 9th.

So in theory I bought two… let’s see (a) how many I receive (b) the condition the arrive in, and (c) if the pumpkin spice prince raises tariffs and that creates more issues.

One thing holding me back is not knowing how two printers will work on the same electrical circuit of a typical home (along with a computer and monitor and such), I think I heard somewhere that there will be an update to manage the peak power draw (or did I dream that?) and I’m fine staggering the starts of prints.

It would be really cool to be able to manually set the peak power draw - is this even physically possible with the hardware or are the main bed heaters more of on/off components?

Im planning to run an extension cord to another outlet that is on another circuit.

Potentially dumb question but as the filament ports seem to be at a pretty sharp angle facing the printer’s left, will that setup work well for the printer on the left? It seems like it the PTFE tube would have to make a really sharp angle to fit in
