[SOLVED] Can't download models

It is the second day when I try to download models and clicking on any button “download 3mf”, “download STL” or “open in bambu studio” doesn’t do anything.
I am logged in. Before I didn’t have any problems. What can be wrong?

Try clearing your browser cache and cookies. It sounds like the site is not responding to your inputs.

its the captcha/bot check. happens to me all the time.

refresh the page. it should load it. then you’ll have to refresh every other tab you previously opened in order to get them to respond to input.

I just found the reason. I am using Firefox. In “Enhanced Tracking Protection” if “Known fingerprinters” is enabled it doesn’t download - see the picture. What has changed with the website? I never had a problem before. Firefox hasn’t been updated recently either.

its been doing that to me for ages but yeah that’s usually what sets it off. i generally just deal with it and refresh the page because itll throw the captcha at me and then itll work for a bit again since id rather block the trackers and answer the occasional captcha then to let them… well, track.

chrome mask sets it off, too.

It only happened to me recently. So they must have added more tracking. So I will have to disable tracking when I want to download something and then enable it again. What a pain… !

Strange, i have it set to standard which also blocks known fingerprinters by default and my models download just fine, are you logged in?

I know there is a limit to the number of models you can download without logging in

I was on Standard as well and it worked until 2 days ago. Today after writing my post, I have decided to check this and I changed to custom. I was checking and unchecking each option to see which one enables the download. And that’s why I found out which one it is. I checked it a couple of times and it was definitely this.

This just started happening to me as well. I kept mine on the “Standard” protection and just added an exception for the Makerworld domain. You’ll see the “Manage Exceptions…” button just above the protection profiles.

Thanks for that information. I added it and it works now in Standard.
I also noticed that before, when I disabled tracking in Custom, it only happened when you download the first model - when there is a captcha to solve. Then it worked fine.

But adding exception is better

I just came upon the thread, a bit late to the show, but i had just experienced the same problem with Chrome on a new pc after my old SSD hard drive became a brick. On seeing that there was meant to be a Captcha, which i have never had on old pc i decided to try with my Popper Blocker extension disabled. That did the trick!

As i was directed here i hope that this may help any other stragglers being directed here :+1:
