Some prints failing at a 3mm

Got my x1c a few days ago and had a few good prints but now mostly just getting failures.

The filament prints perfectly in my prusa, I have tried all the different calibrations in orca to get the settings right, I took the the extruder apart and checked for clogs and blockages.

any thoughts?

just printed these in this order
first this failed

then printed this calibration from orca and it came out fine

then went to print this and it failed ago at the same height (3mm) as the first print

Welcome to the forum,

It’s something in your slicing settings if the calibration prints fine. My guess is your aux fan is turning on full at that layer height.

Aux fan is definitely off

What material? Door and top open or closed?

PLA, I’ve tried every combination of top on/off and door open/closed,

I’ve just factory reset the printer and done clean software installs so hopefully that will make a difference

1 layer then failure

definitely slicer related, the stock prints on the printer all print perfectly
