Someone is selling 3D prints from users free 3D print codes here. I wanted to message the creators, but I guess I need to be a LV7 to message them. Anyway, I thought that I would let you know that a guy on Ebay is selling a users Pimax models. I bought a Pimax Dream Air to Apple Vision Knit headstrap adapter from him…and it didn’t even work! LOL The only good thing about it is that it finally motivated me to buy my first 3D printer, a X2D. Until a few days ago I didn’t know that he stole the 3D model from here. Here is the Ebay user- Advancedprints is the user on Ebay.
You already posted that exact same text a day ago… ![]()
Without more specific context, it’ll be hard to have a meaningful discussion on this topic.
Report it to MakerWorld.
In general, it’s good to bring up issues like this, but I’d be cautious about making outright accusations without providing evidence in a thread. It’s also theoretically possible that someone want to harm a competitor by accusations.
Here’s a guy whose every print almost appears to come from maker world. Unfortunately there is no way to stop it. The hosting companies wash their hands of it. He gave me a thinly veiled legal threat, though he didn’t contest the DMCA takedown I got the hosting company gave to him. The problem is he like others on Amazon, Ebay, you maybe able to shut them down. However, they got so many stolen models online like Berry Bro Creations that they continue to sell.
For ebay you have to fight with their VERO program, which means registering and then proving ownership of the model in question, but they can then remove the listing, but thats all they will do and someone else will probably upload it
One thing to keep in mind: just because a design is being sold under a different username on eBay doesn’t automatically mean it has been stolen. Many designers offer licenses that can be purchased, allowing others to legally sell products featuring those designs on platforms like eBay.
That’s why, in situations like this, it’s important to involve the people directly affected and familiar with the matter. They are the ones who know who has purchased a license from them and who has not, making it much easier to determine whether a design is being used legitimately or without permission.
